A Letter from John Cowles – Owner and Founder of NOBS Courier
Welcome to No B.S.!
Greetings to our clients and future Bay Area business partners,
My name is John Cowles, and I am proud owner of Not Ordinary Business Services, Inc. known to the San Francisco business community as No B.S. Couriers.
In 1998, I started this business with a small group of veteran messengers who wanted to develop the absolute best messenger service in San Francisco. We knew there were many courier services out there and we would need to re-invent ourselves to separate us from the rest of the pack. At the same time, a new breed of clients were invading the Bay Area at an accelerated rate, later to be recognized as the “dot.com boom”. We strapped on our helmets, charged up our radios, filled up our tanks and the calls came pouring in.
From June 1998 to January 2000, we broke delivery records every week. Our staff grew from seven to thirty-eight full-time employees. Today, we serve a variety of clients including advertising agencies, architectural firms, designers, attorneys, medical practices, corporations and independent consultants.
As our business has expanded, we have increasingly realized there are some important differentiators businesses should consider when hiring a delivery service. We've successfully built long-term business partnerships with clients by helping them make the right courier choice for their organization.
